Identity for Image
Exchanging who we appear to be for who God already knows we are.
There comes a point in every journey with God when rest leads to reflection and reflection leads to honesty. We live in a world that measures us by what we present: our confidence, our accomplishments, our composure, our image. Yet beneath the surface we often carry questions, wounds, habits, and hidden places that no amount of performance can heal. After receiving the invitation to come as we are, Day 2 invites us to slow down long enough to know that we are seen by God. Today, we offer God not the polished image we’ve learned to maintain, but the tender, truthful identity He already knows.
Rest for Weariness
When life feels heavy, we often choose distraction and escapism over rest and renewal. Many of us carry weariness that we never slow down long enough to name. Yet, Jesus still extends an invitation to come. Jesus doesn’t ask us to fix ourselves before coming. Instead, He invites us to bring our exhaustion, our questions, and our pieces. Day 1 invites us to pause, accept His call, and show up — tired, imperfect, and open to rest.
